Innovation in Public Good Award Bagged by AU Prodigy

Tazeen Sharif, AU Alumni, Lecturer at College of Engineering and Manager of the Office of International Academic Affairs at AU brought home yet another prestigious award at the “Global Creative Innovation Awards 2017” held on the sidelines of the Global Innovation Summit, Dubai.

The award aims to recognize budding innovators in the UAE, increase awareness of the latest innovations, foster a culture of innovation and create a sense of community. The award categories included sustainability, public good, healthcare and education.

Her project “Sense 7” won the Best Innovation in â€‹Public Good Award by a panel of esteemed international judges amongst the 31 projects in this category. This is a global award for designing and implementing a multi-featured Assistive Technology tool for the Visually Impaired.

“Sense 7; elegantly stood out for its contribution and impact-factor to the visually-impaired population and has been identified as the most innovative approach to building an inclusive habitat.” judging panel commented.
