Sheikh Rashid Al Nuaimi Honors the Winners at Ajman Agriculture Award
His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman honored students from the Faculty of Engineering at Ajman University for their participation at the 8th Ajman Award for Agriculture. The event was held at the Cultural Centre in Ajman under the auspices of Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. The students were bestowed certificates and memento trophies for their innovative projects.
Sheikh Rashid praised the efforts and creative skills of the students, they displayed exemplary talent in their designs and styles. The two main projects presented were the park and interior designs that won the admiration of the audiences.
The geometric design that won the first place for the best class design engineering public park in the emirate of Ajman, is entitled "Khoussa inch" park project for children, which was accomplished by Abdul Rahman Shaheen, Muhammad Salah, Mohamed Okasha, under the supervision of Mrs. Sahar Makky, faculty member in the Department of Architecture at College of Engineering.
The second project winner of the engineering design in the emirate of Ajman is "Mirage" project by two students Rama Reese, Mouza Al Fiqayi, under the supervision of Dr. Chuloh Jung, faculty member in the Department of Architecture.
Ajman University was also awarded for its role in supporting the local authorities and institutions. To encourage special children and motivate them to also contribute positively to the community the agriculture award encompassed their efforts also. Special children who grew vegetables presented their produces to His Highness and the visitors, this initiative promotes agricultural production and increase sustainable development in the Emirates of Ajman.
