Wael Hamdan came to AU in August 2000 with a wide spectrum of experience in Interior Design Higher Education, particularly in the Interior Design subject area. Having also deep experience in interior and furniture design, joinery, manufacturing, and mass production. He has special interest and wide experience in interior design professional practice, auditoriums and TV set designs, material technology and processes connections to sustainability, health and well-being and in developing interior environments. His experience in teaching is wide, ranging through BA degree levels. He began his teaching career at The Intermediate University College-Amman Jordan, department of Interior Design as an Interior Design lecturer for 9 years. Also, as lecturer in Ajman University in interior design department for 20 years. His own interior design practice has been described as multi-disciplinary in the design engineering, production, and projects management in one of the biggest firms of interiors and furniture and joinery factories in UAE called now Leader interiors for 4 years. He specialized in large scale works such as towers, hotels, resorts, palaces, and villas. Also, as DGM for 10 years specialized in interior acoustic solutions for command and control centers, auditorium, dispatch centers, home theaters, operation and control rooms. Additionally, he completed many commercial projects such as lady’s beauty shops, retails, restaurants, corporate such as financial centers and finally religious interior spaces.
