Interior Design Exhibition: Theory Meets Practice

Interior Design Department at the College of Engineering, AUST opened its door to the expert practitioners from the business world of Interior Designing. They reviewed the projects presented by graduating students of the “Thank You Khalifa” batch 2014.

The exhibition provided the vital platform for students to exhibit their projects and exchange views on its application and design from specialists. The opinions enriched the students’ knowledge in furthering their projects from concept to reality.

Dr. Fahr Hayati, Dean, College of Engineering expressed his utmost pleasure at the opinions expressed by the market experts. He explained that “this exhibition also provides an ideal opportunity for the academics to be enlightened by the practical worlds ever dynamic approach to interiors. The students get a first-hand feel of how the market components work and what strategy to adopt in being successful in the interior designing sector of the economic world”.

Dr. Hayati reiterated that the University feels proud of its students’ remarkable achievements. He also pointed out that this exhibition paves the way for students to get easy access to their career while the market learns about the programs and curriculum offered by AUST. This two way communication also contributes positively to the development of academic programs of the department.

It’s worthy to note that students who actively participated in the exhibition are the graduating class of “Thank You Khalifa” 2014. Their careers begin with a celebration of appreciation for what the great leaders of this beloved country have achieved and offer for the citizens and residents.
